Meow Apps is run by Meow Arts KK, in Shibuya, Tokyo, Japan. This page explains, plainly, what we collect on meowapps.com and through our plugins, why, and how to have it removed. We don’t sell your data, and we only share it with the services listed here.
When you buy a plugin
We keep your name, email address, billing country and address, and your orders, licences and subscriptions. They are what your licences, renewals, invoices and refunds run on, and we must keep orders for tax and accounting. Payments go through Stripe or PayPal: we never see your full card number.
Licence checks and updates
Our Pro plugins contact meowapps.com to check your licence and look for updates. They send your licence key, your site’s address, the plugin and its version, and your WordPress and PHP versions. AI Engine Pro also sends two numbers: whether its MCP server was used in the last 30 days (yes or no), and how many phones are paired with the Workspace app. Nothing about your content or your visitors is ever sent.
The newsletter
You can join it at checkout (a box you can untick), from the form on our site, or with the optional “Keep me posted” box in AI Engine and in our ChatGPT and Claude connector. Outside checkout, we first send one email asking you to confirm, and nothing else until you do. Every email has a one-click unsubscribe link, and someone who unsubscribed is never added back. We note where you signed up (for example checkout, ai-engine-connect or torii-connect). The list lives in MailPoet on our own site, and emails go out through Mailgun.
Support
Messages from our contact form and support emails are handled in Help Scout. We keep the conversation history so we can help you better next time.
The chatbot on this site
The assistant on meowapps.com runs on AI Engine. What you type is sent to an AI provider to write the answer, and conversations are saved so we can improve it. Please don’t share passwords or other sensitive details with it.
Analytics and cookies
- Plausible, which we host ourselves: page visits, without cookies and without personal data.
- Google Analytics, which uses cookies to measure visits.
- One first-party cookie that remembers, for 30 days, the campaign link that brought you here, so we know which articles or ads lead to a purchase.
- Store cookies for your cart and your login, which the store needs to work.
Cloudflare sits in front of the site to protect it and make it faster, and sees requests as they pass.
Our ChatGPT and Claude connector
The connector at connect.meowapps.com links ChatGPT or Claude to your own WordPress site. Requests pass through it without their content being logged or stored. It keeps a usage record for each request (your site address, the tool used, whether it worked and how long it took) and, while you stay connected, the access keys your assistant needs, encrypted. During the optional automatic setup, WordPress hands it a temporary password for a few seconds to install AI Engine; it is revoked right after and never stored. It has its own privacy policy.
Who else handles your data
Kinsta (hosting, on Google Cloud), Cloudflare, Stripe, PayPal, Mailgun, Help Scout, Google Analytics and the AI provider behind the chatbot. Some of them are outside your country; each protects data under its own terms.
Your data, your call
You can ask to see, correct or delete what we have about you through our contact page, and we answer within 30 days. When you delete your account, we remove your user account, newsletter entry, licences and support details, and anonymise the orders we have to keep for accounting.
